You’ve been driving them to school, practices, tournaments and friends’ homes for 16 years. Now – handing over the car keys to let them start running errands for you can look awfully inviting! But they’ll be driving for the next 60 years and no matter how responsible they are, they’ll be sharing the road with other drivers who are distracted, impaired and making risky maneuvers. They need real skills – not just the ability to pass the road test.

A good driving course is the best start you can give your teen – but your job doesn’t end there. They need lots of practice and a clear understanding of what you expect from them.

We’ve been working with teens and parents for more than 10 years. We can help. You’ll find links to free and inexpensive resources below.

Learning to drive safely and properly comes through practice and proper guidance. The National Safety Council’s ‘Alive at 25’ Parent Program online course gets parents involved in training their teens to drive safely and responsibly. It outlines the risks young drivers face and helps parents take responsibility for reducing those risks. It offers information that encourages a parent/teen partnership in an engaging learning environment that includes realistic situations to help teens think through options and outcomes before they encounter them in real life.

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive an official National Safety Council Certificate of Completion and a free Midas Touchtm Maintenance Package.
