Put Down Your Screen, Keep Your Driving Record Clean!

Every driver knows it’s illegal to use a phone while driving, but it remains one of the most commonly ignored rules of the road. With so many people connected to the world through their phones, tablets and laptops, it can be hard to resist checking in online while en route to your destination.

Unfortunately, too many distracted drivers realize the risks of doing so when it is already too late. If a driver is lucky enough to avoid a collision while checking their phone, they can still face major punishments from police and damage their driving record forever.

Drivers using a cell phone or electronic device behind the wheel can be charged with offences such as dangerous driving, careless driving and criminal negligence causing death or injury. The punishment for distracted driving is never worth it for sending a text message or checking social media.

Distracted driving is one of the leading causes of traffic incidents, but it can be reduced with the elimination of phones and other devices while driving. The time and physical requirements to check and use a phone behind the wheel are far too much for anyone responsible for controlling a vehicle. Always keep your eyes on the road, and never on your electronic devices.
