Join our new prom adventure and see where your prom night takes you.
Prom Perils is an interactive game where choices matter. There are multiple endings for you to discover. It’s up to the player to make the right choice that will let them have a fun but safe prom night.
The player has a long day ahead of them before they can get to prom. They must finish a school exam, have a family lunch, and get prom-ready. Let’s not forget the pre-prom party!
We concentrate on the fun decisions that involve friends and outfits and adventures, but we often forget to make sure we have a safe way home.
This game features three different pathways: drinking and driving, drowsy driving, and drugged driving. Our goal is to show players how the decisions they make can affect their life and the people around them.
As the game goes on the player will make choices that will affect their prom night. How will their prom night end? Will they make it home safe? Will their friends get hurt? Will it be a night to remember or a night to forget?
The controls are easy! Use W-A-S-D keys to move your character and click your mouse to make the choices. The game features mini game events that will pop up during the game. These will also be controlled with W-A-S-D keys or by clicking your mouse.
You also have your two best friends that you are going to prom with, Jake and Emma. You have known them your whole life and are excited to spend your prom night with them. Besides, you couldn’t have gotten through high school without them.
Backers will be required to pay for their own shipping.
If we reach our goal we have exciting stretch goals we plan to release that will add more mini adventures into our game!
Anne Marie Hayes started non-profit Teens Learn to Drive (TL2D) 14 years ago when she learned that her life expectancy was 16 years longer than her teenage daughter’s. Vehicle crashes are a primary cause for the difference. Young drivers lack experience and don’t understand the risks. Teens Learn to Drive aims to help young people learn about driving safety in fun and interactive ways. This is our first effort to create a game that is fun and educational.
We have few risks when it comes to this game because the game is already 75% complete. We already have excited students looking forward to playing the game, as well as partners ready to share it. As for challenges, our programmer and artist are students. Their busy academic schedules could delay the launch of the game (Schoolwork always comes first). We have adjusted our schedule to accommodate them. Some prizes will be shipped. We have no control over delivery times.
Teens Learn to Drive Inc. (TL2D) is a North American non-profit organization. Our goal is to educate youth and parents about all aspects of driver safety to help make our communities safer.
