My first experience getting behind the wheel of a car was not as easy as I anticipated. My parents made it appear very simple during the first 16 years of my life as a passenger. However, I quickly discovered that was not the case. I had difficulty adjusting my speed for turns and did not expect the brakes to be as sensitive as they were. It took a combination of hours of practice and going to a driving school to make me feel more confident as a driver.
Teenagers are high risk to crash because they are new and inexperienced drivers. Although they may not cause the crash, teenagers can still be hurt or even die if they do not react quickly enough when something goes wrong. In order to become successful at anything you need to practice. Practice assists teenagers in recognizing hazards and avoiding them successfully.
