It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas time is so beautiful and the snowy landscapes are magical. People are happy, the decorations and lights look beautiful, there are festivals, Christmas music, lots of delicious food, and amazing festive drinks. What’s not to love? But with this joyous occasion comes an increased focused on safety for ourselves and our loved ones.
Falling snow is beautiful, but makes it a lot harder for drivers to see you. This means that as a pedestrian, your jackets and pants should not be white as that is the color of snow and you will become camouflaged. Make sure your clothing is brightly colored and can be seen through the snow, and always wear reflectors!
This video highlights the importance of wearing reflectors and being visible to cars around you. Do not wear white in winter! Just because you can see the cars, does not mean they can see you.
