Teens Learn to Drive Inc. (TL2D) is a North American non-profit organization. We aim to educate youth and parents about safe driving through safe decision making. We provide many different services such as interactive events, newsletters, and other outreach projects. We also run different campaigns every year to raise awareness about safe driving. All of our services and events are free of charge to the schools and the users! We provide schools with the tools to create a safe driving environment by educating teens and youth through our PSAs, videos and in school events.
Our goal is to reinforce good driving habits and change driving culture for our teens and young adults. All the programs and resources are FREE of charge to participants thanks to our generous sponsors.

I am an advocate for driving safety, armed with a passion for educating and promoting safe driving habits to teens, parents and seniors alike. I am a member of the board of directions of NOYS (National Organizations for Youth Safety) and as well as a member of 7 international driving safety organizations
My name is Megan Cruz and I’m the manager here at TL2D. I oversee video production, social media channels and help produce our Podcast. I also help run our Vision Zero Youth Network Ambassador program. I graduated in 2021 from Wilfred Laurier University with a BA in film studies. In 2020 I received a diploma from Vancouver Film School for writing for games, TV, and film with a specialization in TV. In my free time, I work on my own scripts.
I am an aspiring Graphic Designer living in Toronto and graduated from the graphic design program at Seneca College in 2019. Currently broadening my skills to specialize in Animation and UI/UX design.
I am currently working towards completing the Concurrent Education program at Brock University, earning a BA majoring in Child and Youth studies as well as a Bachelor of Education. At TL2D I outreach to notable individuals in the GTA, as well as work closely with high schools and school boards across Ontario. I also develop the project plans and coordinate external communication for events.
I am a recent graduate of the University of Toronto, with a degree in Journalism. At TL2D, I perform the ole of a reporter through interviews, written material, and social media content. TL2D is a great opportunity for me because it allows me to get experience in my field in multiple ways such as interviewing, writing, editing, and content creation.
After graduating from Confederation College I was able to bounce around from freelancing to working with my local hospital and was able to end up working with TL2D, where I help make graphics and design images along with editing videos with the wonderful team here to help promote safety among all drivers on the road! It was allowing me to grow my experience in my own way while not only helping public safety but also working with a great team of other creatives who are all filled with insight to gain.
I have completed my undergraduate degree in Physiology at McMaster University and am now pursuing graduate studies studies at UofT. My role here at TL2D is to devise a curriculum to be implemented in physics classrooms that teach high school students the science behind driving and road safety.
At TL2D, I design and animate media assets to educate and advocate for driving safety. I manage the TL2D website’s main features to streamline an accessible and friendly learning experience. I also plan and test advertising campaigns to increase our outreach. I really enjoy the creative freedom I have here which also allows me to really refine my skills, while working with a great team. I graduated from McMaster University with a Medical and Biological Physics BSc.
I am a recent University of Toronto Mississauga graduate with a degree in Communications and Professional Writing. My social media marketing experience includes University of Toronto Mississauga’s Communications Council. I am obsessed with all things social media and content creation, especially Instagram and TikTok!
As a graphic and motion designer here at TL2D. I am responsible for creating various social media posts and 2D animations. I recently graduated from Humber College where I studied Multimedia Design and Development to expand my knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite
I am a current Student at Wilfred Laurier University studying Film Studies. Business Management and Political Science. My Graphic Design experience was procured at the half term I completed at Vancouver Film School. I plan on returning in the winter to complete the other half. I work at TL2D as a Graphic Designer and Social Media Creator. My main tasks include creating graphics for social media as well as creating other social media content where I can. I also help analyze social media data to help figure out which content is working when I can!
I am a filmmaker with a demonstrated history of creating videos for Youtube, and an aspiring director/screenwriter for feature length films. My skills are in content creation, editing and entrepreneurial ventures. As a strong marketing professional, I am on path to achieving a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies (Laurier University). And a diploma specializing in Film Production (Vancouver Film School).
I am an upper year global business and digital arts student at the University of Waterloo. Currently dipping my feet into all things design. My passions include outer space, dogs, and basketball.

The Teens Learn to Drive team joined the Executive Team at 407ETR to launch our #LikeYouCare PSA and campaign at their headquarters.
Teens Learn to Drive President, Anne Marie Hayes introduced two videos: our ‘Why We Care’ video which provides background as to why the campaign was developed. 407ETR President Andres Sacristan spoke about our partnership & how it complements their commitment to safety. He also launched their summer safety contest.
The event was a huge success and was followed by a photo session with Andres in front of our 407ETR-sponsored trailer. Have a look at our pictures and videos, and remember to watch and share our PSA!

Neighbours Night Out is an annual neighbourhood barbeque get together hosted by Safe City Mississauga where passionate road safety advocates have tents to promote their campaign, make people aware of their message, and provide awesome giveaways. They also provide free food to everyone, cotton candy, and bouncy castles for kids to play on. Teens Learn to Drive participated in Neighbours Night Out for the 3rd year, handing out color sheets, bookmarks, and informing people about our campaign and events.
